FAQ & help
The questions people ask before they start, answered plainly — and where to go when the answer is not here.
What is Just Say It?
A screen that keeps up with a conversation. You talk — in a meeting, a classroom, a living room — and the slide composes itself in real time: your numbers become charts, the people you name get their faces, places get maps, a chess opening gets a board. A co-presenter listens, answers out loud, and puts the notes up when you ask.
Do I have to prepare slides?
No. There is nothing to click and nothing to build. Start a session, say what you mean, and the slide is on the screen before you have finished the sentence. Afterwards every topic of the conversation is kept as a slide, and the whole set prints as a deck.
How is Just Say It different from Gamma or Otter?
Gamma makes a deck before a meeting — from a topic, your own text or a file — for you to present. Otter joins your Zoom, Teams or Meet calls and gives you text: a live transcript, then a summary and answers. Just Say It is the room where the meeting happens: as people talk, the screen everyone sees builds itself — the figures as charts, the people named as faces, the places as maps — and the notes are kept. The comparison pages on this site set them side by side, each with its facts from its own site.
What can appear on the screen?
Statements as headlines; figures as charts; lists; the faces of the people and the marks of the companies you name; maps of the places; pictures; whole stages such as a chess board, a pitch, a grid of portraits or an org chart; and the notes of the conversation, one page per topic.
Does it talk back?
Yes. The co-presenter answers questions out loud, writes notes as it goes, and can bring back what was decided in earlier conversations you took part in — “what did we decide on pricing last week?” is answered only from meetings that everyone listening took part in; when someone in the room was not in that meeting, the answer goes to the asker’s own screen alone, and a conversation marked private is never brought back.
Can several people use it at once?
Yes. Invite people into a room — one guest on Free, up to six on Pro, thirty on Team — with camera, microphone and screen share; each person is transcribed under their own name and everyone sees the same slide. On Team the room runs on your shared pool of minutes, so nobody you invite needs a plan of their own.
What does it cost?
The first ten minutes are free with no account and no card. A free account has 90 minutes a month and a room for you and one guest. Pro is $19 a month, or $15 a month billed yearly, for 600 minutes, rooms of six and unlimited history. Team is $29 a month a seat, or $25 billed yearly; each seat adds 1,000 minutes a month to one pool your whole team shares, with rooms of thirty — everyone in your rooms is covered. Run out and you can add 100 minutes for $5 — we ask you first, up to four times a month. A paid plan renews each month or year until you cancel it in the customer portal; if you cancel, you keep the minutes you paid for until the month is over. A whole organisation — your own cluster, single sign-on, invoicing — is priced by talking to us.
Can it make a film of the meeting?
Yes. When a meeting ends, the host clicks Animate: the co-presenter asks four things out loud — which slide or the whole meeting, who stars, the style (documentary, film noir, anime, claymation and more), how long (30 seconds, a minute or two) — and a short film lands as the last slide of the deck within about a minute. People can star if they agree on their own screen — with their own picture and, if they record a line, their own voice — or if the host adds them to the host’s cast with a photo and, if used, a voice sample, under the host’s statement that the person allowed it; a host’s statement is not the person’s consent to us, and the Terms say what the host takes on. Every film carries a small “AI-generated” mark. A film costs $5 a minute of film, prepaid — you add credit first and nothing is charged for a film until it is on the screen; a free account has one free film for life, Pro three a month, and films on a Team plan are included at no charge.
Where do my recordings go, and who can see them?
Every conversation is kept for the account that started it — its transcript, its slides and its notes — until you delete it. Nothing is published unless the host turns on a public link for one meeting’s slides (never its notes or transcript), which the host can turn off again; an invite link opens a live room, not a recording. A trial’s recording is kept for an hour and becomes yours when you sign in.
Can I change the slide by voice?
Yes. It is not a slide editor — you never drag a box or pick a template — but you can ask: “make that bigger”, “swap those two”, “take that down”, “go back to the pricing slide”, “show me the notes on that”.
What do I need to run it?
A current desktop browser with a microphone — Chrome works best — and an internet connection. Nothing to install. It listens and answers in English today.
