# Just Say It vs Gamma

> Gamma and Just Say It, side by side: what each makes, when it works, and what it costs — Gamma’s facts from its own pages, read 2026-09-26.

## The short answer

Choose Gamma when you need a polished deck, document or website made before the meeting — from a topic, your own text or a file — to send or to present. Choose Just Say It when the screen should come from the meeting itself: the figures, faces and maps appear as people say them, and the notes are kept.

## Side by side

| Compared on | Gamma | Just Say It |
| --- | --- | --- |
| What it makes | Presentations, documents, websites, social posts and images ([pricing](https://gamma.app/pricing)). | The screen everyone in the room sees, built as people talk: the point as a headline, figures as charts, faces, maps, lists and whole stages — and the notes. |
| When it works | Before the meeting. You build the deck, then present it — with presenter view, speaker notes and a link people can follow ([help](https://help.gamma.app/en/articles/8032935-what-s-the-best-way-to-present-my-gamma)). | During the conversation, as each sentence is said. |
| What you give it | A topic to generate from, text to paste, or a PowerPoint, document or web page to import ([help](https://help.gamma.app/en/articles/7838093-how-do-i-create-a-new-presentation-document-or-webpage-in-gamma)). | The conversation itself — people talking in the browser. Nothing to prepare or upload. |
| Meetings and rooms | Not a meeting tool on the pages read: you present the deck yourself, in whatever call you are in. | Its own rooms in the browser, with camera, microphone and screen share: one guest on Free, six on Pro, thirty on Team. It does not join other meeting apps. |
| Notes | Speaker notes you write on your own slides; notes of the meeting are not described. | Kept as the conversation goes, one page per topic, on the screen when anyone asks; every conversation kept as a replay, a deck and its notes. |
| Earlier meetings | Not described. | Answers what was decided in earlier conversations — only ones the people in the room took part in. |
| Paid plans | Plus $9, Pro $18 and Ultra $90 a seat a month billed annually — $12, $25 and $100 monthly; Business plans for teams ([pricing](https://gamma.app/pricing)). | Pro $19 a month, or $15 billed yearly; Team $29 a month, or $25 billed yearly ([pricing](https://justsayit.ai/pricing)). |
| Free to start | Yes — a free plan with 400 credits at signup, which do not refill ([pricing](https://gamma.app/pricing)). | Yes — 10 minutes with no account and no card, then 90 minutes a month with a free account ([pricing](https://justsayit.ai/pricing)). |

## Where Gamma is better

- A finished, designed deck you can send before the meeting, and export to PowerPoint, PDF, PNG or Google Slides.
- Documents, websites and social posts from the same tool, not only slides.
- Starting from what you already have: a PowerPoint, a document or a web page, imported and restyled.
- Editing by hand — every slide, layout and theme is yours to change.
- An API on its paid plans, for making decks from other tools.

## Where Just Say It is different

- The screen comes from the conversation: a figure said becomes a chart, a person named gets a face, a place gets a map — nothing is prepared beforehand.
- It keeps the notes as it goes, one page per topic, and brings back what earlier meetings you took part in decided.
- It is a room: people join in the browser with camera, microphone and screen share, and everyone sees the same slide.

## Using both

Gamma for the deck that goes out before the meeting; Just Say It for the meeting itself — the figures and names that come up, the questions, the decisions and the notes. A deck made in Gamma can be shared on screen in a Just Say It room while the conversation runs.

## Questions

### Is Just Say It an alternative to Gamma?

For the meeting itself, yes: instead of preparing a deck, you talk and the screen builds itself. For a designed deck, document or website to send ahead of time, Gamma does that and Just Say It does not.

### Can Just Say It import my slides or export to PowerPoint?

No. It is not a slide editor and takes no document. Every conversation is kept as a replay, a deck of its topics that downloads as a PDF, and its notes. Gamma imports PowerPoint files and exports to PowerPoint, PDF, PNG and Google Slides.

### What does each cost to start?

Gamma has a free plan with 400 credits at signup and paid plans from $9 a seat a month billed annually. Just Say It gives 10 minutes with no account and no card, then 90 minutes a month free with an account; its paid plans are Pro $19 a month, or $15 billed yearly; Team $29 a month, or $25 billed yearly.
