# Getting started

> Your first session in five minutes. Nothing to install; a current desktop browser with a microphone is enough.

## A first session

1. Open [justsayit.ai/app](https://justsayit.ai/app?trial) and press the big button (or the space bar). The browser asks for the microphone once; say yes.
2. Talk about something with a figure in it — “we went from twelve customers to forty in three months”. Before the sentence ends there is a chart.
3. Name a person, a company, a place: a face, a mark, a map. Name a chess opening and a board opens; “show me the main line” plays it.
4. Change the subject and the slide changes with you. Say “going back to the numbers” and the earlier slide comes back as it was.
5. Ask for the notes: “show me the notes on that”, or “on the whole conversation”. Turn the pages by voice or with the arrow keys.
6. Ask the co-presenter anything, out loud. In a room it stays quiet until someone says its name.

## Things you can ask the slide to do

- “Make that bigger.” “Put the chart top right.” “Take that down.” “Bring it back.”
- “Swap those two.” “Sort them by last name.” “Show me all their faces.” “Put them in a grid.”
- “Show it on a map.” “Zoom in on Alaska.” “Go back to the Patagonia map.”
- “Previous slide.” “Slide three.” “Go back to pricing.”
- “Add ‘ship by Friday’ to the notes.” “Strike that.” “Star that.”

## A room

Press Invite and hand the link to up to five other people (six in a room, on Pro). Each person is transcribed under their own name; everyone sees the same slide; cameras, microphones and a screen share are in the dock under it. Someone without the link can knock, and the host lets them in.

Because a session is recorded — its transcript, its slides and its notes — tell the people in the room before you start, and ask; in some places the law requires everyone’s consent. The [Terms](https://justsayit.ai/terms#recording) say whose duty that is.

## Keeping it

The first ten minutes need no account. Sign in with an ELAV8 account and the conversation becomes yours: it is in your history with its replay, its deck (one slide per topic, printable) and its notes, and the co-presenter can bring back what was decided in it later. Ninety minutes a month are free; the [plans](https://justsayit.ai/pricing) have their own page, and [Features](https://justsayit.ai/features) lists everything it does.
